Exam Information

The result for MAT 2019 February session has been declared at

  • Bachelors degree holders can apply online at, by paying an application fee of INR 1550.
  • From this year, All India Management Association (AIMA) has discontinued the offline registrations.
  • MAT 2019 registration for May session ends on April 26 (offline) and 1st week of May (online) respectively.
  • The exam will be conducted in both online as well as offline mode. Candidates can choose anyone as per their choice.

All India Management Association (AIMA), the conducting body of Management Aptitude Test (MAT), lays down the eligibility criteria of MAT 2019. Before filling the application form of the exam, it is essential to know the MAT eligibility criteria. As per the MAT 2019 eligibility criteria for the May exam, candidates must have completed their graduation in any stream from a recognised institute. There is no age limit to appear for MAT. AIMA will conduct MAT May 5 2019 in PBT mode and on May 18 in CBT mode. The application form for MAT May exam has been released on March 7, 2019. The deadline to apply for the paper-based is April 26, 2019 and for computer-based MAT, the application deadline is May 10, 2019. Age limit - There is no age limit for those taking up MAT 2019.

The number of attempts - There are no restrictions on the number of attempts for taking up the MAT.

Other points to be kept in mind - 

  • No job experience is required to apply for the exam.

  • A certain number of seats are reserved for Schedule Castes, Schedule Tribes, Other Backward Classes. 

  • A candidate can apply for the exam as many times as he/she wants to 

  • The final year graduate students who clear MAT2019 need to submit proof of the completion of their graduation. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of their admission to a respective institute.

News Updates / Preparation Tips

MAT is a 150-minute duration test, in which a candidate has to solve 200 questions. Higher the accuracy, greater are the chances of getting admission in excellent institutes. It is the most prominent exam of the nation and the scores obtained are accepted by many reputed Management Institutes.

A candidate has to attempt all the 5 sections to clear the entrance. These sections are listed below-

Instructions For MAT Preparation

  1. Being updated with the MAT 2016 current syllabus.
  2. A proper time-table should be followed.
  3. Practicing mock tests and previous years papers.
  4. Solve the quant section using short-tricks.
  5. Prepare self-made notes.
  6. Have a good strategy to solve the maximum number of questions in less time.
  7. Attempt the questions where you are 110% sure.
  8. Refer good books.
  9. Donot stick to any question, read< solve, skip< move.
